As we head into the Black Friday 2020 holiday season, many retailers are hosting Pre-Black Friday sale events. While these pre-events don’t offer the best savings you can find during the holiday season, there are still a few reasonable savings to be had.
While each of the sales is worth checking out, we predict that the closer we get to Black Friday 2020, the bigger the savings will be. Smart shoppers may want to hold back on certain deals, especially when it comes to televisions or other high-end electronics, as traditionally those see huge savings later in November.
Amazon – Holiday Dash
Dates: Ongoing through Nov. 19
Amazon announced its Holiday Dash event in October, offering shoppers “epic daily deals” that alternate every day through Nov. 19. Smart shoppers will want to check back daily for new ways to save on a variety of products. We predict most of these sales will be tame, but fully expect Amazon to unleash huge savings the week of Black Friday.
Best Buy
Dates: Ongoing through Oct. 28
Best Buy teased a few Black Friday deals during Amazon’s Prime Day in October and even launched their own Pre-Black Friday sales event called Prep for the Holidays. Most of the savings are much lower than we predict you’ll see as we get closer to the end of November, but it is possible shoppers will find some worthwhile deals during the event.
Best Buy also kicked off an Amazon 60-Hour Savings Event in mid-October, allowing shoppers to save big on Amazon brand devices. The event ends Oct. 23.
Dell
Dates: Ongoing through Nov. 1
Dell was the first retailer to drop a Black Friday ad for 2020 and with it was the announcement that starting on Oct. 15, shoppers could find Black Friday pricing on XPS, Alienware, Precision and Vostro products.
Lowe’s
Dates: Oct. 22 through November
Lowe’s set their Season of Savings event to kick off on Oct. 22. The event features tons of ways to save big on various items for the home, with most of the sale pricing lasting through November. Lowe’s will also focus on Pro members starting Oct. 29, with deals and promotions set to benefit any member of their Pro savings club.
Macy’s
Dates: Oct. 27
Macy’s isn’t having a Pre-Black Friday sales event, but they are allowing shoppers to bookmark which sales they are most interested in so that they can purchase that particular item when the sales go live. It’s a neat way for shoppers who are spending more time at home and online to stay current on Macy’s sales while also anticipating the start of the sales events.
Newegg
Newegg’s Gametober began on Oct. 1 and will run through midnight on Oct. 31. The focus of the sale is all things gaming, including big discounts on PCs, PC parts, video game accessories and any products that go into your average gaming setup. Newegg runs the sale every October and it typically features some of their better deals of the year.
Nordstrom
Nordstrom is dropping a slew of holiday events throughout October, November and December this year. The retailer is also offering all kinds of fun giveaways and sweepstakes, including complimentary gifts to the first 50 shoppers who pick up their curbside orders every day Oct. 19 through Dec. 24.
Sam’s Club
Dates: Nov. 7 through Nov. 15
Sam’s Club has announced two major sale events that will take place in November 2020. The first is a week-long sales event called November Savings Week and the other is a 10-day event called Thanks-Savings. Several deals were advertised in their ad for the events, but Sam’s Club noted that the ads were just the tip of the iceberg — and that many more sales and deals will launch online during each event.
Walmart
Walmart was one of the first retailers to offer an early look into its November plans. Walmart has several events going on throughout the month of November. There are three main events, which all start online. The first event runs Nov. 4 through Nov. 7. The second event starts Nov. 11 through Nov. 14. The third event starts Nov. 25 through Nov. 27. Walmart is also hosting events in stores on the Saturday of each event. Walmart also has two other big events planned: the Tire Event which will run Nov. 7 through Nov. 13 and the Wireless Phone Event which will run on Nov. 14.
